This Privacy Policy describes how Gallery Grab ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Gallery Grab desktop application ("the Software"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

2.1 Information You Provide

• Email address — collected when you sign up for a free trial or purchase a license. Used for license management and customer support.
• License key — provided to you upon purchase and entered into the Software to activate your subscription.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Hardware fingerprint — a one-way hash derived from your device's hardware identifiers (e.g., machine ID, network adapter). This is used solely to enforce the one-machine-per-license policy and to prevent free trial abuse. The raw hardware identifiers are never transmitted or stored; only the irreversible hash is used.
• Gallery download count — the number of galleries downloaded under a free trial, stored server-side to enforce the free trial limit.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Login credentials — Gallery Grab never stores, transmits, or has access to your username or password for any third-party platform. You log in through a browser window on your own device, and your credentials remain entirely within that browser session.
• Gallery content — We do not access, copy, or transmit the contents of your photo galleries. Downloads go directly from the third-party platform to your local computer.
• Browsing history or cookies — We do not track or store your browsing activity beyond what is necessary for the Software to function during an active session.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Manage your license — activate, validate, and deactivate your subscription via our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy).
• Enforce usage limits — track free trial usage and ensure compliance with the one-machine-per-license policy.
• Provide customer support — respond to your inquiries and troubleshoot issues.

We do not use your information to:

• Send marketing emails (unless you opt in separately)
• Build advertising profiles
• Sell or share your data with third parties for their own purposes

4. Third-Party Services

Gallery Grab uses the following third-party services:

4.1 Lemon Squeezy (Payment Processing)

Lemon Squeezy processes payments, manages subscriptions, and issues license keys on our behalf. When you purchase a subscription, Lemon Squeezy collects your payment information directly — we never see or store your credit card number or payment details. 4.2 Supabase (Free Trial Tracking)

We use Supabase to store free trial usage data (email address hash, hardware fingerprint hash, and download count). This data is used solely to enforce the free trial limit and detect abuse.

4.3 Chrome for Testing (Browser Automation)

The Software uses an automated browser ("Chrome for Testing") to navigate third-party platforms on your behalf. This browser runs locally on your device; no browsing data is transmitted to us or to Google beyond what would occur during normal browser use.

5. Data Storage and Security

• License and free trial data is stored on servers provided by Lemon Squeezy and Supabase, both of which employ industry-standard security measures.
• Local data (settings, cached license information, gallery lists) is stored on your device in your user data directory. This data is not encrypted at rest; you are responsible for securing access to your device.
• We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Software. If you cancel your subscription, your license data is retained by Lemon Squeezy per their data retention policy.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate personal data.
• Delete your personal data (subject to our legal obligations).
• Withdraw consent to data processing where consent is the basis for processing.

7. Children's Privacy

Gallery Grab is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
